You will not find any company that will protect you and your information as well as we will. Don't you just hate the Privacy Policy on most sites? Usually, they are half legalese and half computer language. Well, we're different.

At checkout, we ask many questions. That information is needed to process your order. Please be advised that we do NOT sell, loan, or give that information away to anyone. To put it even more plainly, no one outside of our company will get your information from us. Other than order processing, the only other thing we'll use is your first name and your e-mail address to occasionally send you our own in-house newsletter.

As a customer courtesy, we have links to places off of our website. Of course, we have no control over their policies. So when leaving our site, please consult the destination site for their policies on privacy.

We have been getting reports from customers that they see yellow and/or green links on our pages. These are NOT coming from our site. If you see these, they are coming from your virus-infected computer.

About Spam

Let's cut right to the chase... We hate spammers and do everything we can to help stop them. You will NOT be spammed by using our website!

What can you do to help stop spammers?

1. Never buy anything from someone that sends you Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE) - in other words, spam.
2. Never respond to a spammer's message as this will probably just let them know that they have found a valid e-mail address and you'll then have your e-mail address sold to dozens of other spammers.
3. Sign up for a free account at spamcop.net and report the spammers. Most days, we at CompuDirect receive over 100 spam messages and we report them all.
4. Contact your State representatives. We need their help fighting this blight.

About Your Shipping

First, you have to know that we typically make less than 2.5% on our products - sometimes much less. If you operate a business, you'll recognize immediately that our margin is extremely low. For those that don't know what a normal margin is, consider that the typical margin is minimum 30% and probably closer to 50 or 100%. Have you ever wondered how those clothing stores can give you 50% off and still make a living? Well, now you know.

Because we operate at such a tight margin, we have to charge for shipping. We don't charge an outrageous amount but we would not be able to give great prices for our products and free shipping too. The numbers just don't work out like that.

As a customer, you really need to consider what your bottom line price is. In other words, how much is your 'landed' cost. That's your real cost. When you consider that landed price, we'll nearly always be cheaper than our competitors who might lower the price of their product well below their cost then charge an exorbitant amount for shipping and handling! When those people do that, they are con artists and in our opinion, should not be trusted.
